The best part of the car scene isn't just the cars - it's the people.
Last weekend we headed out for a drive day with northside convoys, bringing together a small group of enthusiasts for a relaxed cruise round the peak district, great roads and plenty of car content.
From modified hatchbacks to performance cars, the mix of vehicles made it a perfect reminder of what the car community is all about.

Why Small Drive-Out Groups Are So Good:
Big car shows are great, but smaller drive groups offer something different.
They’re usually:
✔ More relaxed
✔ Easier to talk to people
✔ Better driving routes
✔ Less crowded
It’s less about showing off and more about just enjoying the cars and the drive.

Once everyone arrived, it was time to hit the road:
The route took us through Snakes pass, Winnats pass, Derwent/Ladybower reservoir & Holmes moss summit, with plenty of sweeping bends and incredible views along the way.
Driving in a group like this always makes the experience better. Instead of driving alone, you're part of a moving convoy of enthusiasts all enjoying the same thing.

Final Thoughts:
Days like this are what make the car scene special.
Great roads, great cars and even better people.
Whether you're into modified cars, performance builds or just enjoy driving, these small community drives show what car culture is really about.
