Terms & Conditions
Carmunity is a trading name of Carmunity.
Carmunity is a company with its registered office at The Storage Team, Skelmersdale, WN8 9SX.
The following terms and conditions apply to the sale and purchase of items in your basket. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Availability of Goods and Prices
Items will be shipped to the address provided at the time of purchase. Occasionally, orders may be delivered in instalments. Where this occurs, we will make every effort to notify you by email.
While we aim to ensure all pricing information is accurate, errors may occur. If a pricing error is discovered after you have placed an order, we will inform you as soon as possible. You will then have the option to confirm your order at the correct price or cancel it. If we are unable to contact you, the order will be treated as cancelled and a full refund will be issued.
We make every effort to avoid overselling items. However, in the event of a stock discrepancy, if we are unable to fulfil your order within the agreed timeframe, you will be notified and issued a full refund.
International Shipping
For delivery addresses outside the United Kingdom, import duties and taxes may be applied once the shipment reaches your destination country. Any such charges are the responsibility of the customer.
Customs policies vary by country, and we recommend contacting your local customs office for further information prior to ordering. Please note that international shipments may be subject to inspection by customs authorities.
Validity
By placing an order with Carmunity, you agree to these terms and conditions. These terms may be updated at any time, and it is your responsibility to review them before completing a purchase.
Your Undertakings and Warranties
You warrant that all information provided when placing an order is accurate, complete, and up to date.
Acknowledgment of Order
Once your order is completed, you will receive an email confirmation detailing the items purchased, total cost (including VAT and shipping where applicable), and delivery and billing information.
If your order cannot be processed for any reason, a member of our team will contact you with further details.
Our Contract
A contract for the sale of products exists between you and Carmunity only once the product(s) have been dispatched. You will receive a dispatch confirmation email once processing begins.
If your order is fulfilled in instalments, any products not yet dispatched do not form part of the contract. You are responsible for checking the accuracy of order confirmations and retaining copies for your records.
Payment
All payments are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the relevant card issuer or payment provider. If payment authorisation is declined, the order will not be accepted, and Carmunity will not be liable for any resulting delays or non-delivery.
Returns
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected. For information on returning items, please refer to our Returns Policy.
Damaged Goods or Incorrect Deliveries
If items are damaged or incorrect upon delivery, the following conditions apply:
-
Goods must be stored appropriately; improper storage may invalidate claims.
-
Any shortages or defects must be reported within five (5) days of delivery, including details of the issue and the invoice number.
-
Failure to notify us within this timeframe will be deemed acceptance of the goods.
Carmunity may request the return of defective items at the customer’s expense. Where a claim is valid, we will replace the item, correct shortages, or issue a refund, including reasonable postage costs. Carmunity’s liability is limited to the cost of the goods supplied.
Force Majeure
Carmunity shall not be held liable for delays or failures to fulfil orders caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Limitation of Liability
While we strive to ensure all website information is accurate, Carmunity does not guarantee that content is free from errors. Liability for any breach of these terms is limited to the value of the goods ordered. This does not affect liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Invalidity of Terms
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by English law, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Promotional Codes and Discounts
Promotional codes are valid for new online orders only and must meet any stated minimum spend requirements.
Carmunity reserves the right to reject orders using invalid, expired, or fraudulent promotional codes. Only one promotional code may be used per order and cannot be combined with other promotions unless stated otherwise.
Refunds for returned items will reflect the discounted price paid, excluding shipping costs. Where only part of an order is returned, the discount will be applied proportionally. Promotional codes cannot be reissued or reapplied to replacement items unless still valid at the time of reorder.
Carmunity reserves the right to modify or cancel promotional offers at any time.
Care and Usage Guidelines
Please follow the care and usage instructions provided with each product to ensure optimal performance and longevity. If you have any questions, contact our team at carmunityapp@gmail.com (Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00).
